Report a wrong meaning or sound
Mistakes may remain, because no human linguist has reviewed the whole dataset yet. Your report helps. Please include:
- the name exactly as shown, with the native script if there is one;
- the page where you saw it;
- what is wrong: the meaning, the respelling, the era, a missing warning or an unfair one;
- what you think is right, and a link or source if you have one.
Suggest a name
To suggest a name or a missing word, send the name, its culture or language, the meaning you know, and where you found it. Names tied to a well-known character or a brand will not be added. We cannot promise to add every suggestion. If you have a source in Hangul, hanzi, kana or kanji, include it, because native script lets us check the reading against the reference databases.
What to expect
The mailbox is read by the team. Replies are best effort, and some messages may take a while, so please do not send the same report twice. Short, specific reports are the easiest to act on: one name, one problem. We do not ask for personal details beyond your email address, and we use it only to answer you.
