The rank ladder
A real knight began as a page, then a squire, and was knighted after training. On the card, the ladder runs from Squire, a young noble training under a knight, to Knight or Dame, then Knight-Captain, who leads a small company, and Paladin, a holy knight or palace guard. An Imperial Knight serves the Emperor directly.
The form of address is Sir and the first name. Sir Ettore is right. Sir and the surname alone is not.
Order mode
An order is built from a pattern and parts. The pattern Order of the color and beast gives the Order of the Crimson Griffin. Other patterns give Knights of the Silver Rose or Order of the True Heart.
The parts carry symbolism. A griffin means watchfulness and guarding treasure. A wyvern means protection and fierce defense of home. A stag means purity and peace. Crimson stands for passion and high nobility.
Heraldic colors
Heraldic colors have old names: Or is gold, Argent silver, Gules red, Azure blue, Sable black, Vert green and Purpure purple. In the data, Azure stands for truth and loyalty, and Gules for military courage and sacrifice. So an Order of the Azure Shield promises loyalty.
